Why We Built This Site
West Virginia Code § 51-4-2 provides the core court-record inspection and copying framework, but public access still begins with identifying the custodian. The Hardy County Circuit Clerk maintains Circuit and Family Court pleadings and documents; the Magistrate Clerk validates lower-court results and supplies Magistrate papers; the County Clerk handles deeds, probate, and other recorded documents rather than court dockets. WVPASS and MCRS also serve different court levels. This site organizes those distinctions, official search routes, request details, and case-number guidance in one place.

An official or certified Hardy County court record must come from the clerk or court that maintains it; this site supplies directions, not documents.
